It’s been years since I last picked up my linocutting tools, but I’d been meaning to return to them. What I like about the technique is its simplicity: you only need a handful of ideas and a rough sense of composition — no need to lock yourself into a rigid structure. Instead, it’s about appreciating the shapes and spaces as they emerge, letting the process remain spontaneous rather than overworked. I didn’t produce any super-final prints this time, but that wasn't really the point. It was more about rediscovering an old creative language – one which I might be able fold back into my other work.
